​We’re so excited that you’re considering bringing a Buckeye Valley puppy into your home! From the moment a puppy is born to their very first day with you, our goal is to make this experience as joyful and smooth as possible.

Puppy Pricing & Deposits
Our German Shorthaired Pointer puppies are $1,200 each.  Families are welcome to join our free, no-obligation waitlist for upcoming litters. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee a puppy but reserves your place to be contacted when puppies become available. Once a litter is born, families on the waitlist will be contacted in the order they joined. If an available puppy matches your preferences and you choose to reserve it, a conditionally non-refundable deposit of $300 is required within 48 hours to secure your reservation. Because we carefully plan each litter, deposits are generally non-refundable to ensure serious commitments. However, we understand that true emergencies happen. Major family or health crises will be considered on a case-by-case basis at the breeder's sole discretion for a possible refund or transfer to a future litter. Your $300 deposit will be applied toward the purchase price, with the remaining $900 balance due in cash at or before puppy pickup. Deposits may be paid by cash or Zelle. 

 

Wait List & Selection Process

Families are added to our waitlist in the order their request is received. After a litter is born, we will contact families on the waitlist according to that order. If a family chooses to pass on a puppy from the current litter, they may remain on the waitlist for a future litter.

Virtual-Only Selection & Health Policy:
To completely protect the health and safety of our vulnerable puppies from dangerous outside pathogens like parvovirus and germs, all viewing, selection, and final puppy picks are strictly virtual-only. We do not host in-person visits or in-person selections at any time prior to pick-up day.

We begin the puppy selection process when the puppies are approximately 5 weeks old, when their coloring, patching, and ticking are easier to see (although these markings will continue to develop as they grow). Selection will be handled smoothly through photos, individual video updates, and live video calls, following the order in which reservations are confirmed with a deposit.

Send-Home & Pick-Up
We usually send our puppies home the first Saturday after they turn 8 weeks old. We understand every family’s schedule is different, so if you need a little flexibility, just let us know we’ll work with you to make bringing your new puppy home as smooth and special as possible.

Please note, we do not ship or transport our puppies. Buyers must pick up their puppy directly from Buckeye Valley Kennels. If a buyer chooses to ship a puppy, the Seller cannot accept responsibility for any health issues that may arise during transport (aside from genetic issues).

AKC Registration
All of our puppies come with AKC Limited Registration. This means your puppy is registered with the American Kennel Club, but their puppies cannot be registered so breeding is not permitted. If you’re ever curious about how this restriction can be lifted to allow Full AKC Registration, just reach out to us and we’ll be happy to explain the process.

 

Lifetime Support
Our relationship doesn’t stop once your puppy comes home! We’re here for you and your puppy for life whether it’s questions about training, health, or just celebrating a funny puppy moment, don’t hesitate to reach out. We also have a private Facebook group just for our Buckeye Valley puppy families, where you can share photos, ask questions, and connect with other families. We love seeing your puppies grow, learning their personalities, and hearing about all their little adventures tag us on social media and keep us part of your puppy’s story!
